Dog Walking Holidays on South Downs Way
Some of the views will will enjoy
We used to offer 7 or 9 day walking holidays following either the original 80 mile trail or the full 100 mile trail along the South Downs Way, unfortunately due to the lack of good dog friendly accommodation on parts of the trail from 2020 we will only be offering short breaks on certain sections... our 2 or 3 day short breaks maybe perfect for you and your pooch...
The South Downs Way was officially opened as a national trail in 1972. It ran from the village of Buriton to Beachy Head high above Eastbourne. It faithfully followed the full 80-mile ridge of the southern chalk hills from their gentle rise at Harting Down to their dramatic departure beneath the English Channel. Some fifteen years later it was decided to extend the route back into Winchester. The trail can be split in two, or even quarters and cover it with a series of Bank Holiday walks to see how the trail changes through the seasons.… the choice is yours! Send an enquiry
Typically based at just one or two Dog Friendly Hotels, we then shuttle you & your dog for 2 or 3 days of glorious walking on the South Downs Way with the comfort of being in the same room/hotel for the same holiday allowing you and your best friend to settle in and be spoilt by the staff...
